'Night Visit' is a re-imagining of a situation when I was sitting in my kitchen on a hot night, reading, with the door open. I looked up to see a fox strolling in as if it owned the place. It was quite a shock so I shooed it out. It seemed very reluctant to go and stood outside a while before finally heading off over the wall. A few nights later the fox came back and I was able to take its photograph. That photo was the basis for this card – set in the Christmas season. This time the fox is coming in from the cold to the warm welcome of my cosy kitchen.
