This silk scarf is one of a Limited Edition of 50 hand printed to order in our London studio. It comes presented gift wrapped in a black and gold embossed box with a numbered signed card certifying provenance.
I am a fan of Americana and love a good bandana. I designed this one originally for a Country Music festival in the UK and printed it on cotton. This version is very different as it is in luxurious heavyweight spun silk.
The making of this exclusive piece involves a process known as discharge printing where the black background colour is printed with a special dyestuff which takes away the black and replaces it with colour. The design is first hand painted, after which come screen-making, dyeing, printing, washing and finishing.
The bandana shown here is printed in blue and turquoise on a black ground with hemmed edges and a printed signature.
