 Cressida is well known for her rug designs. They have a grounding in the age old traditions of the rug weavers art, but still show an individualism and a contemporary edge.
‘Hali’ magazine describes 'a rug designed by Cressida Bell based on a conscious reinterpretation of traditional carpet weaving vocabulary. The combination of art and intellect would surely have earned the rug a place in her grandparents’ home in Charleston in Sussex' . She has designed shaped rugs, stair carpets, runners, and a giant oval carpet for the British Consulate in Hong Kong.
